Today is Howie’s “Gotcha” Day! That’s the day we “gotcha” all the way from Ohio! :) I took some pictures of Howie today to celebrate the special occasion and also to show just how much he’s grown. :) As a bonus, the pictures also double as Valentine’s Day pics cause they’re just so sweet! ;) Also, I’m very excited to share the pictures of the crate covers I made for Miley and Howie! If you haven’t already seen them on kevinandamanda.com, be sure to check them out now by clicking the link below! :D (you may have to scroll past a few pics of my Green Room before you get to the crate covers. ;)) AND… possibly the most exciting news… Miley and Howie have a new webcam!! Thanks to Camstreams.com, Miley and Howie now have a LIVE video feed! You can check in on them any time of the day to see what they’re up to and see them in live action. :D
Amanda I haaaaaaaaaate yoooooooooooooou you’re so talented! I don’t really hate you, I’m just totally jealous. I have zero sewing skills and what you created is awesome! Gus and Eleanore, whose crates also reside in our closet, are drooling. :D
Oh, Amanda, you are SO talented! I love the contrasting black and white patterns and the ribbon detailing!! And then with the dotted bumper pads! Howie and Miley are living in the lap of stylish luxury. Well done!
Amanda, is there anything you can’t do - and extremely well, I might add? LOL Doggie training, sewing, scrapbooking, photography, etc., ete., etc. LOL The crate covers are darling - and your pooches are too! LOL
Amanda, those are GREAT! I love the way you tied the crates into your decor by making matching pillows for your couch! How awesome is that? At my house, we do the opposite. The crate beds and throws somehow end up on my couch and the dogs kick the couch pillows on the floor.
Amanda, you are one talented woman! Bumper pads??? That is brilliant…as Janice would say. You did a fantastic job and have such a good eye for color, pattern and design. Seriously green with envy over here!
ditto about you selling them. they are gorgeous! and so fun. all the ones i’ve seen online to buy are boring…one color. i love the patterns you used!!! i too am a towel cover user. ha. if you decide to make and sell them, PLEASE let me know. I would love to get one for elvis!
Beautiful job on the covers & pillows. Very colorful and attractive. I’m sure Howie and Miley will enjoy their regal surroundings when they are in their crates.
Everything looks soooo great! Seriously — if you ever do decide to make more for sale, please please let me know! And, yes — please do share your method for making the bumper pads =)
I am so jealous. You do beautiful work. I wish I had the time and ability to do that. Your living room is so pretty too. I love seeing threads with pictures of other peoples homes.
you inspired me!! so i got out some material….. not as snug as yours….and i had to use darker colors for it to last in my house…lol anyone else get inspired and make a cover?
scout is checking it out…but it’s a bit too small for his chunky butt… & he stresses really bad in a crate because he lived most his life in one….
OK< I had to give it a try.
I had to alter mine a little because I need to be able to close it up on the front. Monica goes CRAZY when I am grooming a dog so I have to keep her covered up like a bird so she will be quiet!
All was going well until I got to the front ‘door’. Oh well, she seems to like it! LOL!
I am going to make more tomorrow. Practice makes perfect…or at least a little better!
Thanks Amanda!
andddddd i still want a sewing machine. lol :) love the pink with black polka dot material! i keep saying it… but if i had a girl dog, i’d be in BIG trouble!
Oh….how the sweetness of that little dudley nose makes me weak! I have such a soft spot for Howie and am so glad that you and Kevin and Miley have him for your very own! Happy Gotcha day, Howie!
Gosh, it’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since the Howie man came into your lives. I know that Miley loves her little brudder! He is such a handsome little guy!
Howie is so darn cute! Thanks for sharing his pictures. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year already. I remember when you first posted pics of him. Your pictures are always amazing. I wish I could get Dawkins to pose like that.
You have taken such a beautiful photo sequence of him! He is so cute - I love his bath time photo and his nose markings. You are lucky to have such a cute little guy :)
Happy Gotcha Day Howie - Amanda, he’s just a cute today as he was that first day. Even though I am partial to girls, Howie makes me want a little boy! LOL
I didn’t think it was possible for your photos to get any better since they were already perfect, but they are! Wow! Love them. And of course, doesn’t hurt that Howie is a great model. Happy Gotcha Day Howie! I remember those photos like they were yesterday!
These pictures are absolutely amazing!!! I LOVE Howie pics!!!!! In the time I picked out Belle and was waiting to be able to bring her home, I would spend hours looking at your pup’s pics! :) I couldn’t wait to get mine home so I could start taking pics too, LOL! I love seeing them again now from the perspective of being a BT owner now.
it’s just gorgeous i love all the patterns and the colours and of course miley adn howie just make it all 110& cuter!!
